We assist affected persons and their families to cope with this devastating and debilitating disease, which leads to the progressive wasting and weakness of the muscles. We also provide access to international information regarding specific dystrophies, workshops, support groups, access to genetic counselling, referrals to health facilities and providing assistive devices, funding dependent. We strive to keep our members updated via the MDF website and MDF quarterly magazine. Creating public awareness is another important aspect of the Foundation’s work.
